DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY:

TOUR DAY 1 : Cusco to Cloud Forest (1,700m.s.n.m.)
We leave Cusco early in the morning in one of our vehicles. We will pass through interesting valleys and picturesque communities. We will visit pre Incan tombs and then we will stop in Paucartambo, a beautiful colonial town. Here we will visit a very interesting museum. We will have a packed lunch en route. We continue to the cloud forest, an area rich with endemic species like the Spectacled Bear, the Cock of The Rock, a variety of orchids, bromeliads and ferns etc. Take in the beautiful nature as we make our Lodge where we will spend our first night in our comfortable accommodation.
TOUR DAY 2 :Cloud Forest (400m.s.n.m.) Rainforest Lodge to Amazon Wild .
Very early we will go in search of the Cock of the Rock, the National bird of Peru, that has a very unique courtship dance. After breakfast we will continue to the small town of Pilcopata then to the Port of Atalaya port at Atalaya (500 m.a.s.l). There, we board a motorized boat to continue for about half an hour navigating on the Alto Madre de Dios River. Along the rocky riversides, we have a great opportunity to observe the river wildlife like many birds, turtles or sunbathing lizards. In the afternoon, we reach our next lodge – Rainforest Lodge. Then we go to explore nearby paths where we can see a big diversity of species, for example, tarantulas, ants, butterflies, some monkey species, huge trees, erotic plants, palms, etc. After that, we return to our lodge to overnight.

TOUR DAY 3: Rainforest Lodge – Parrot Clay Lick – Aguas Calientes Amazon Wild
We wake up today very early to board a motor boat taking us to a 10 minute far away clay-lick of parrots, budgerigars and Aras (guacamayo) which is an unforgettable experience! After this activity, we return to the lodge to have breakfast. Afterwards, we go for a walk following nearby Manu jungle´s paths observing its large flora & fauna biodiversity such as monkeys, birds, medicinal plants used by local people to heal various sicknesses, etc. For lunch, we get back to the lodge to later continue to another excursion, this time to Aguas Calientes (hot springs located in the Manu National Park) There, we enjoy a hot bath providing us with energy in the afternoon we will back our lodge.

TOUR DAY 4: to Aguas Calientes – Boca Manu .
Today, we have another opportunity to go to the parrot clay-lick to view parrots, budgerigars and Macaw clay lick eating clay that is very important to their digestion. If we are lucky, we can also spot some big mammals like capybaras, tapirs, anteater, monkeys, etc. We go for lunch back to Lodge. Afterwards we will board a motorized boat to continue navigating on the Madre de Dios River. Along the river, we have a great opportunity to observe various species such as herons, vultures, kingfishers, turtles ,egrets and some of 13 monkey species living in Manu! In the afternoon, we reach our next lodge situated in Boca Manu where we spend the night. Showers and toilets available.

TOURS DAY 5: to Boca Manu – Otorongo Lake
Today we say good-bye to the Madre de Dios River to change for a navigation on the Manu River offering us other amazing views of a great variety of species living in and around it such as groups of turtles, white caimans, capybaras, jaguar (Panthera onca) resting on a log and watching its territory .Arriving in the afternoon to our campsite in Otorongo. Later on our Tour Guide takes us to the Otorongo Oxbow Lake where an observation tower is placed allowing us to watch giant otters living there. During that, the Guide teaches us functions and secrets of the jungle. After that, we return night Safary Camping Showers and toilets available night walk in the Manu National Park
TOURS DAY 6: Otorongo Lake – Salvador Lake /Amazon Wild Nature .
Today we ll visit another oxbow lake called Salvador in our silent rowing boat that allows us observing a family of playful giant river otters, black caimans as well as many rare bird species including a prehistoric bird called shansho ,black caimans. You can be sure that animals here in wild Amazon Manu have never suffered from hunting by people! In the afternoon, we return to our campsite in Otorongo. Night in Safary Camping . Showers and toilets available. A night walk in the Manu National Park
TOURS DAY 7: Amazon Wild Nature – Otorongo Lake &Boca Manu
The call of the red howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus ) will wake us up .We unfortunately need to start our return on Manu river, and one will be able to understand why Manu is so famous for its wildlife. On the river edges you will be able to observe groups of turtles, White Caimans (Caiman cocodrylus), Capybaras (Hydrochaeris) and maybe a Jaguar (Panthera Onca) resting on a log and observing its territory. Past the Nigth in Lodge with Showers and toilets available.
TOURS DAY 8: to Boca Manu & Rainforest Lodge
After the breakfast we continue navigating for the Alto Madre de Dios River where you can observe more birds and plants in the beaches in the afternoon we ll reaching the Rainforest Lodge. Nigth in Lodge. Showers and toilets available.
TOURS DAY 9: Rainforest Lodge & Atalaya Port to Cusco .
We wake up very early today to go by boat to see a 10 minute far away parrot clay-lick! After that, we get back to the lodge where we are served breakfast adding us energy for our last travel so that we board a motorized boat and start navigating towards the Atalaya Port. Our private vehicle awaits us there to take us back to Cusco. We arrive there approximately between 6 and 6:30 pm.
You need to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever as well as to bring some anti-malaria tablets with you!!

What to take with you to the Amazon Wild Nature 9 days:
- Mosquito repellent (DEET 35 recommended as a MINIMUM),
- Original passport,
- Small backpack,
- Long sleeved cotton shirts (preferably green coloured),
- Long cotton trousers,
- Cotton long socks (to be put into your trousers),
- Comfortable walking shoes,
- Sandals or light shoes,
- Rain gear (e.g. rain poncho),
- Sweater (for the beginning of the tour in Andes and the cloud forest only),
- Binoculars (we also rent it),
- Camera and its charger,
- Plastic bags to be used for clothes and a camera,
- A hat as a protection against the Sun or rain,
