ABOUT LODGE:

Frequently asked questions (FAQs):

Travel   Rainforest  Wildlife  Peru.

The  Biosphere Reserve is one of the most pristine areas of wildlife in the rainforest  . Activites such as hunting and fishing are not performed here. The Reserve is

very strictly controlled and visitors are only allowed to enter with their tickets and guides with their professional cards. During your time in the park, you will always be

accompanied by your guide, from your departure from the city of Cusco until your return to the city of Cusco. Tours to the  National Park Reserve must be organized in

advance in order to avoid any problems with your departure.

LOCATION EXTENSION AND ZONES OF RESERVE PERU
National Park is located in the southern part of  in the departments of Madre de Dios and Cusco Province. It occupies territory in the district of Fitzcarralt in
Province and the districts of Challabamba and Qosñipata in Paucartambo Province and comprises all of the the River Basin and the left bank of the Madre de

Dios River;the area of the Park lies 65% in the department of Madre de Dios and 35% in the department of Cusco.

THE NATIONAL PARK HAS THREE ZONES

The Core or Natural Zone: This zone covers an area of 1,532,806 hectares and is the indigenous territory where land is still used traditionally, without any restrictions for

native groups. Tourists and any other foreign person may not enter this zone without authorization from the Manu National Park headquarters.

The Reserved Zone: This zone consists of an area of 257,000 hectares dedicated to tourism and research, with a rational treatment of resources.

The Transitional or Cultural Zone : This zone covers an area of 91,394 hectares where colonists and some indigenous Machiguenga communities are

found, forming a buffer zone in the core of   National Park, where there are no restrictions on economic activities, as can be seen in our maps. The three areas that

make up the National Reserve contains 13 different ecological zones ranging in altitude from 200m to 4,000m, meaning that it has an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

Excursions in the Park can be expensive. However, it is sometimes possible to get discounts on official prices. If an agency has a fixed departure for a specific day and if

it still has spaces, it may be willing to offer lower prices. Our departure dates are fixed for 2017 (if you have a date available for the tour, we need a deposit of 50 %, minumum of

2 people, maximum of 10 people.) You can make your reservation with our company Manu Jungle Trip .International companies operate in the Manu Reservation with their

own land and river transportatoin, and theyhave their own land and lodges, which provides no income to the communities and indigenous peoples who for years have kept this reserve in its natural habitat.

Visiting  Rainforest Peru:

Some 5,000 visitors make the trip to Manu each year, roughly 5% being dedicated birders. On a typical 2–3 week trip covering all altitudes, birders accompanied

by experienced leaders regularly record 550–650 species. There is something for everyone in Manu. Some birders start early, finish late, and ‘bird until they drop’. Others

come for a relaxed birding holiday, staying at comfortable lodges, visiting macaw clay licks (called collpas), paddling on oxbow lakes, and passing a leisurely morning atop one

of the many canopy towers. As access is restricted, almost all visitors come on a tour: only authorised operators can take visitors into Manu National Park and all must be

accompanied by an official guide. Granted, almost all Manu bird species and much other wildlife can be seen in adjacent areas, but even these are remote, so access is really only

feasible as part of a tour or if you are sponsored by a lodge or NGO working in the area.

Trips Wildlife

Travel wildlife  On this trip one gets to explore the jungle to the deepest, walking on its trails with an exuberant flora and wild fauna that surrounds it. Birds, mammals,

insects and some large animals that inhabit this expedition . It is an incredible willdife  with biodiversities of creatures such as endemic and others that were not discovered by biologists.

During the walk one gets to wrap oneself with this magic that has no words, only one can feel how wonderful this natural forest is with many hidden kept.
