Macaw Clay Lick: An Unforgettable Natural Spectacular
The macaw clay lick is one of the most impressive phenomena in the Amazon. Every morning, dozens of macaws, parrots, and other tropical birds fly over the area in a colorful and sonorous spectacle before descending to consume mineral-rich clay. This process, known as licking, is vital for their health, as the clay neutralizes toxins and improves digestion.
