DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY:

Day.-1 Cusco – Laguna Huacarpay Mahuallani Rainforest bird
Passengers arrive we pick you up and bring you to the restaurant to have breakfast in the Mini – Bus the reseptionist will introduce you to your guide who you will be with Rainforest bird . After breakfast you will be brought to La
Laguna Huacarpay to show you the most important birds for example, bearded mountaineer, rusty fronted canastero, plumbeous
Rail. Streaked fronted thorn bird, and others. the trip will then take you to mahuallani where you will eat a Box
lunch in route and later we will go to other places to observe the birds which live at the elevation of 4200 meters where we
can appreciate ,cinereous ground tyrant, white fronted ground tyrant, white winged diuca finch, black chested
buzzard eagle, Americal crestrel, and others.In the evening we will have dinner in the Hotel “Samana Wasi” Nad the
first night in Mahuallani.
Day.-2 Mahuallani – Quince Mil – Rainforest bird
Today we leave very early from the Hotel after breakfast, and later we continue the trip to observe the birds in route such as , Andean Snipe, Puna snipe, bare faced ground dove black winged ground dove, andean condor,Puna
Tinamou,Andean goose,streak throated canastero, cordilleran canastero, white winged cinclodes, Andean Hillstar,
shining sunbeam, we will the continue the trip enjoying the views and observing vaiious types of birds of Marcapata
along the way while having a Box lunch and continuing with various stops along the way to take photos and rest
we will arrive at Quince Mil where we will see species such as: saffron crowner tanager, cream crested spinetail, flame
faced tanager, golden tanager ,scarlet bellied mountain tanager, hooded mountain tanager, gray bested mountain
toucan white tailed tyranulet white throated flycatcher, and many others. Later we go to Quince Mil Where we will stay in a Hotel and dinner in the restaurant
Day.-3 Quince Mil Full Day – Rainforest bird
Today we also leave early from the Hotel ,After breakfast our transportation will arrive in Marcapata to observe
some birds that we have not seen during the previous days and today we have the chance to see birds like marcapata spine
tail, rusty and yellow tanager, golden collared tanager, white crowned tapaculo, trilling tapaculo, golden naped
tanager, tuffted tit tyrant, and other .after ,we return to Quince Mil to eat lunch and then we see more birds in route
to Punte Inanbari such as: rufous cresta coquete, violet headed humminbrd, fork tailed woodnymph, crested
oropendola,chestnut back anthshrike, streked chested ant wren, cinnamon faced tyranulet ,red billed tyranulet long
tailed tyrant, solitary eagle, black chested eagle, and many more then we shall return to Quince Mil for dinner and to stay the night Hotel
Day.-4 Quince Mil – Puerto Maldonado Peruvian lodge- Rainforest bird
Today we leave after breakfast to go to Puerto Maldonado on route we will have stops to see importaint birds as:
red bellied macaw, cabani’s spinetal , dard breasted spinetal,spot breasted woodpecker, rufous breasted piculet, uniform
crake, blackish rail, rufous sided crake, yellow brown sparrow, blue headed macaw, scarlet macaw, chestnut
fronted macaw, and others, we follow the route of Puerto Maldonado but before we arrive there is a little break in
kilometer 14 where we can appreciate a more valuable bird and a palm tree climber called the point tailed
palmcreeper arriving to Puerto Maldonado we will have lunch at the restaurant “La Vaca Loca”. After lunch we
have free time to go shopping and visit the more popular sites like: El Obelisk, Plaza de armas, Zoological and
more, then we shall go to La community native de Infierno (it about 45 minutes) to the “Peruvian lodge we arrive
approximately 5 pm ,later we eat dinner in the same place, that night after dinner we go out to observe owl,
tropical screech owl, great potooy among others, and then we sleep.
Day.-5 Full Peruvian Lodge – Rainforest bird
Today after breakfast we go out to view birds all morning to observe such as: band tailed manakin, plain winged
ant shrike, great ant shriki, lemon thoarted barbet, gilded barbety, red billed pied tanager, masked crimson
tanager, yellow backed tanager, guira tanager, white winged shrike tanager, and more later we return to lodge to
have a typical lunch “El Juane”. After a short rest we go out to continue observing the birds that we have not
achieved to see in the morning such as: Manu antbird, gray antbird, straited antbird, dot wingedantwren, bamboo
ant shrike, fascinated ant shikey and others, later we return to the lodge for dinner and to sleep.
Day.-6 Peruvian – Puerto Maldonado Lima Airport
In the morning after breakfast we will go to airport where you will get your fly
