Day 1: Cusco City Tour – Arrival & Inca Heritage 

Upon arrival in Cusco, our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for rest and acclimatization.

In the afternoon (13:40 hrs), explore the imperial city’s most iconic landmarks:

Cusco Cathedral – A colonial masterpiece built on Inca foundations.
Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) – Famous for its precise Inca stonework.
Sacsayhuamán – A monumental fortress with panoramic views over the city.
Qenqo – A ceremonial center.
Puka Pukara – The “Red Fortress.”
Tambomachay – Known as the Temple of Water.

Overnight in Cusco.

Day 2: Sacred Valley – Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo & Chinchero.

Today we explore the breathtaking Sacred Valley.
Visit Pisac and its vibrant artisan market.

Travel through Coya, Lamay, Calca, Yucay, and Urubamba, enjoying spectacular Andean scenery.

Lunch in Urubamba at a traditional restaurant.
Guided tour of Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive Inca towns still inhabited today.
Stop in Chinchero to visit its colonial chapel and ruins.

Return to Cusco for overnight.

Day 3: Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (Km 104)

Early departure to begin the legendary Inca Trail at Km 104.

Highlights include:
Chachabamba (2,250 m)
Wiñay Wayna (2,650 m)
Arrival at Inti Punku (Sun Gate) for your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu

Descend to Aguas Calientes for overnight in a comfortable hotel. Optional visit to the hot springs.

Day 4: Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Return to Cusco

Early morning bus to Machu Picchu to witness sunrise over the citadel.

Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour covering:
Main plazas and temples
Agricultural terraces
Ceremonial sectors
Optional hikes:
Huayna Picchu
Temple of the Moon
Inca Bridge
Return by train to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Amazon Explorer – Manu National Park Expedition Day 5: Cusco to Cloud Forest Lodge (San Pedro)

Depart Cusco at 6:00 am by private bus.
Visit the pre-Inca tombs of Ninamarca
Cross the Andes (4,000 m)
Enter the cloud forest, home to the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock

Arrive at San Pedro lodge. Optional night walk.

Day 6: Cloud Forest to Rainforest Lodge

Observe the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock at dawn. After breakfast, continue wildlife spotting: woolly monkeys, capuchins, quetzals, and toucans.

Travel to Atalaya and raft by traditional balsa rafts to Soga de Oro Lodge. Optional night walk.

Day 7: Into Manu National Park – Casa Matsiguenka

Boat journey deep into Manu National Park.

Wildlife sightings may include:
Jaguars
Capybaras
Caimans
Macaws and toucans

Overnight at Casa Matsiguenka.

Day 8: Lake Salvador & Otorongo – Giant River Otter

Early exploration of Lake Salvador:

Giant river otters
Black caimans
13 species of monkeys
Hoatzin birds

Visit Lake Otorongo observation tower. Overnight at Casa Matsiguenka.

Day 9: Casa Matsiguenka to Maquisapayoj Lodge

Morning wildlife search along the Manu and Madre de Dios rivers. Excellent chance to spot jaguars.

Overnight at Maquisapayoj Lodge (private facilities).

Day 10: Macaw Clay Lick & Tapir Lick Experience

Pre-dawn departure to the macaw clay lick. Witness hundreds of parrots and macaws feeding on mineral-rich clay.

Afternoon hike to the tapir clay lick to observe tapirs at night from a secure platform.

Day 11: Return to Cusco

Boat to Colorado Village, overland transfer via Puerto Carlos and the Inambari River back to Cusco.

Optional continuation to Puerto Maldonado for flight connections.
Overnight in Cusco or Puerto Maldonado.

Day 12: Departure – Cusco or Lima

Breakfast included. Transfer to airport for your flight to Lima or onward connection.
