Manu National Park Trip 4 days

Day 1: Cusco – Manu National Park – Rainforest Lodge

Early morning pickup from Cusco (5:00 a.m.) and drive through the Andes toward the Amazon. Stop for breakfast in Huancarani and visit the historic town of Paucartambo. Continue to Acjanaco Pass, the entrance to Manu National Park, with panoramic views from Balcón del Este. Descend into the cloud forest with chances to see the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock. Afternoon arrival at the Rainforest Lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Rainforest Lodge – Palotoa Ecological Reserve

After breakfast, drive to Atalaya Port with stops at coca plantations, a hummingbird center, and river viewpoints. Boat journey along the Alto Madre de Dios River with wildlife spotting. Relax at Aguas Calientes hot springs. Continue by boat to Palotoa Ecological Reserve. Optional night visit to the mammal clay lick.

Day 3: Macaw Clay Lick – Amazon Exploration

Early morning visit to the macaw and parrot clay lick to observe colorful birds. Breakfast near the clay lick. Guided jungle hike to search for monkeys, tapirs, peccaries, birds, and medicinal plants. Lunch in the rainforest. Afternoon survival lessons and wetland exploration. Optional night walk after dinner.

Day 4: Palotoa Ecological Reserve – Cusco

Breakfast at the lodge. Boat ride back to Atalaya and overland return to Cusco with scenic stops and lunch en route. Arrival in Cusco around 6:00 p.m.
