Day 1: Cusco – Ninamarka – Paucartambo – Tres Cruces – Pilcopata Lodge -The Manu Reserved Zone .

Your adventure begins early in the morning as you leave Cusco and travel east toward the lush cloud forests of Manu National Park. During the drive, you’ll experience an incredible transition from the Andean highlands to the Amazon basin.

Explore the Ancient Chullpas of Ninamarka : Your first stop is the archaeological site of Ninamarka, where you’ll discover fascinating pre-Inca funerary towers known as chullpas. These ancient burial structures belonged to the Lupaca culture and provide insight into the region’s rich history before the Inca Empire.

Visit the Colonial Town of Paucartambo : Continue to the picturesque town of Paucartambo, one of Peru’s best-preserved colonial villages. Wander through its colorful streets, admire traditional balconies, visit the historic church, and learn about the famous Virgen del Carmen Festival, one of Peru’s most celebrated cultural events.

Spectacular Views at Tres Cruces : Reach the famous Tres Cruces Viewpoint at nearly 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), where you’ll enjoy panoramic views over the Andes and the Amazon Basin. Board a comfortable motorized boat and navigate the beautiful Madre de Dios River, one of the major tributaries leading into the heart of Manu National Park.

Day 6: Boca Manu Lodge – Clay Lick – Manu Rainforest Lodge

Begin another exciting day with an early visit to a different clay lick, offering additional opportunities to observe parrots and macaws in their natural habitat.
Continue navigating the Madre de Dios River, enjoying the scenery while watching for wildlife along the riverbanks.
Arrive at Manu Rainforest Lodge, where you’ll enjoy lunch before heading into the surrounding rainforest for another guided exploration.
