Day 1: Cloud Forest and High  (1,700 meters above sea level)

Departure from Cusco to Manu National Park, with cultural and archaeological stops, such as the funerary towers of Ninamarca and the picturesque town of Paucartambo. We ascend to Acjanaco Pass at 3,550 meters with panoramic views, then descend into the jungle, passing through cloud forests. Day 2: Deep Exploration in the Amazon – Amazon Jungle Trip Manu .

Wake up at sunrise, followed by an expedition on rafts to Machuwasi Lake, home to prehistoric birds and caimans. Day 5: Active Exploration of Flora and Fauna

Day 6: Return to Cusco

Your journey begins with an early pickup from your Cusco hotel. Travel by private car along scenic Andean routes to Ninamarca, where you will explore pre-Inca tombs (chullpas) located at 4,000 meters above sea level.

Continue to Paucartambo, a charming colonial town rich in tradition. Descend from the Andes into the cloud forest, where diverse flora and fauna create ideal conditions for spotting Peru’s national bird, the cock-of-the-rock.

Day 2: Amazon Trail -San Pedro Lodge – Atalaya – Rainforest Lodge .

Trips Day 1: Cusco (3300 m.a.s.l.) – Manu Cloud Forest (1,700 m.a.s.l.) – Paraiso  Lodge

Our Manu Adventures Jungle Tour begins at 6:00 am, traveling through the Andes from the city of Cusco in a private minivan. We will make stops at the “chullpas” of Ninamarca, better known as pre-Inca tombs of the Lupaca culture.

We will then continue to Paucartambo, a picturesque colonial town with narrow streets and a beautiful church with an interesting museum where ancient customs are preserved. After this activity, we will ascend to Paso Acjanaco (3550 m.a.s.l.), considered the gateway to the National Park and the Tres Cruces viewpoint (3700 m.a.s.l.) to observe a beautiful view of the Amazon basin. You will wake up to the songs of Amazonian birds at breakfast time and then we will take our private vehicle to continue the tour. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will arrive at the community of Shintuya.

Here we will take our boat on the Alto Madre de Dios River. During the trip, we will observe various species such as birds, turtles, and caimans basking on fallen logs and beaches along the river. We may also see animals such as the capybara, the sloth bear, and, with luck, the jaguar or the tapir. Trips Day 3: Camping Nuevo Edén (250 m.a.s.l.) – Exploring Manu Adventures

The day of our Manu Adventures Expedition begins very early in the morning. We will take a 4-hour walk inside the Manu National Park reserve. This ecosystem is home to very important species for conservation, such as monkeys, birds, wild boars, toads, ants, and medicinal plants of the jungle.

Our native guide will explain the diversity of jungle species, including giant trees. We will return to the camp for lunch, followed by free time to take a refreshing bath in the river. Then, we will visit a lake to fish for piranhas, catfish, and sardines.

Trips Day 4: Nuevo Edén Camping – Rainforest Lodge – Machuwasi Lake – Manu Adventures

With an excellent typical Amazonian breakfast, we will explore the tropical jungle, observing other species. After this activity, we will return to the camp to pack our things and take our private vehicle through the deep jungle to the port of Atalaya.

We will embark on a boat to continue enjoying the jungle, having lunch during the trip. In the afternoon, we will arrive at our lodge, where we will settle into our respective rooms. We will visit Machuwasi Lake and use a catamaran to observe other species that inhabit the lake. Afterward, we will return to our lodge. At night, we will engage in an activity on the Manu trail inside the Amazon jungle and the Madre de Dios River in our outboard boat, observing other nocturnal aquatic species before returning to our rooms.

Trips Day 5: Manu Adventures  toCollpa de Loros Rainforest Lodge – Return to Cusco

We will leave early to visit the parrot clay lick to see hundreds of parakeets and small macaws. Every morning they gather to eat this salty clay that contains mineral salts and sodium. After this activity, we will return to our lodge.

We will enjoy breakfast, then pack our things and board our boat back to Puerto Atalaya, where our private transport will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco.

Day 1: Cusco to Manu Jungle Tours

Embark on an unforgettable 5-day journey to the heart of the Amazon Jungle. We begin with an 11-hour private bus Trip Amazon  from Cusco, making scenic stops along the way. Our route ascends the Pituhualla High Pass (4,750 meters / 15,583 feet), where you can take in spectacular mountain views.

After a short break at the high pass, we descend through the cloud forest filled with lush vegetation, including ferns, orchids, and bromeliads, before reaching the lowland rainforest along the Inambari River.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Mazuco, a small gold mining village (500 meters / 1,640 feet above sea level). You’ll

Day 2: Amazon Jungle to Maquisapoj

After a hearty breakfast, we travel by car to the Inambari River port, a journey of about 30 minutes. We’ll then cross

the river by boat and continue for another hour by car to the village of Colorado. From there, a boat awaits us to take us on a 4-hour ride up the Madre de Dios River to Maquisapayoq.

As we glide along the river, enjoy the changing landscapes and spot wildlife along the riverbanks, including cocoi herons, purplish jays, skimmers, vultures, caimans, and some of the 13 species of monkeys that inhabit the area. Pardise  Manu  Explorer

In the early afternoon, we arrive at the Maquisapayoq Lodge, located in an area known for its black spider monkeys. You’ll spend the night in double rooms with private bathrooms.

Day 2: Amazon Jungle to Maquisapoj

Rise early for an exciting excursion to the macaw clay lick. After a 40-minute boat ride and a short walk, we reach a

special hideaway where we can observe these magnificent birds. Around 5:50 AM, the small parrots arrive, followed by the larger macaws.

The birds visit this clay lick to consume minerals that aid in digestion, making it a fascinating natural spectacle. Manu Reserve

After breakfast, we take a hike through primary rainforest (about 1.5 hours) to reach the tapir lick, a special

observation platform for viewing tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). Tapirs are typically nocturnal, so we provide mosquito

Day 4: Blanco Lake and Camungo Lake Tour

Today, we visit Blanco Lake, where we search for the family of giant river otters that often frequent the area. This is also a prime location to spot the hoatzin, a prehistoric bird, as well as other wildlife like the snail kite, brown-

throated three-toed sloth, red howler monkeys, and squirrel monkeys. After lunch, we head to Camungo Lake, where

we ascend a 42-meter observation tower for an aerial view of the area. From here, we’ll observe toucans, parrots, and

other magnificent birds. We’ll also take a catamaran ride for another opportunity to spot the giant river otters.

Day 5: Maquisapoj to Cusco

On the final day of the tour, we begin our journey back to Cusco. Early in the morning, we travel by boat to Colorado

village, then take a car to Puerto Carlos. From there, we board a minibus for the return trip to Cusco, where we will

arrive in the afternoon. You are free to enjoy a farewell dinner on your own as the tour comes to a close.
